Wood stoves are relatively inexpensive and come built into new homes or can easily be added later. These days, wood-burning stoves are very attractive and are mostly used for heating small to medium sized areas of a home. Small cast-iron stoves have been used around the world for centuries, providing safe and practical warmth wherever they are used. There are many advantages to wood stoves. They are safe and attractive, can often heat an entire house, are clean burning and cause no harm to the environment.
There are nearly endless designs of wood stoves. Many are small, free standing units with cast iron or brass legs. They have attractively designed bodies, often with engravings, ornamentation and a glass in the door to view the fire. Wood stoves are very sturdy and they cannot tip over and set the house on fire.
A well-sized and well-placed wood stove can heat an entire home provided you that can circulate the heat effectively . A wood stove centrally located in a house can provide heat to every room, ensuring that everyone will be warm.
A major advantage of wood stoves is that they are ecologically responsible and very clean burning. They do not run on gasoline, coal, oil or other nonrenewable resources. Wood can be inexpensive in the off season, easy to find, and easily replenished, unlike most other fuels.
Wood stoves are a good alternative to other more common heating methods. Wood stoves are attractive, efficient, safe, and environmentally friendly.
