Here is an article I have read about a tool that can help. But I am not sure how to find this product. I does not look like there it says how one can buy it.

Thank you so much. Actually there is a link from this page to the site: http://www.theashtrap.com/
The product sounds very good. It looks like it is going to help me cleaning my fireplace from those ashes! I have ordered one and I hope to post my feedback after I use it.

The easiest & best way to clean up ashes is to use a "Shop Vac" type vaccuum cleaner with a FINE dust filter with a bag. You want the type of filter such as the ones used for sheetrock dust or you WILL blow ashes out of the exhaust of the vaccuum cleaner. *Be SURE the ashes are not still hot before you vaccuum them up AND absolutely NEVER use a household vaccuum cleaner as the fine dust WILL ruin it and WILL blow ashes out of the exhaust into the house.
