Valley Chimney Sweep and Restoration is a small family-owned company, serving over sixteen thousand satisfied customers in the far western suburbs of Chicago since  established in 1978. I'm Terry Dearborn of Yorkville, IL, owner of Valley Chimney Sweep and Restoration.  I proudly boast at being the oldest continually Certified Chimney Sweep™ in the United States. The CSIA certification is the industry's standard for chimney technician training and our company believes so strongly in the program that only a CSIA  Certified Chimney Sweep™ will visit your home. It's our commitment to our ongoing education  and training in our industry and our company has 4 CSIA Certified Chimney Sweeps on staff to serve you. My wife Wendy (second lowest CSIA certification holder) and I were the founders of the Illinois Chimney Sweep Guild and as a leader in the field of chimney safety, and I have served as a director of both the National Chimney Sweep Guild and the Coalition of Midwest Chimney Sweep Guilds. I am certified by The Wood Heating Educational & Research Foundation as a solid fuel safety technician, woodstove technician and fireplace installer. I've received certification as a wood heater installer from the Tennessee Valley Authority and certification for the installation of residential lightning protection from The Lightning Protection Institute. Our company is consistently involved with continuing education. Since the National Chimney Sweep Guild began holding their annual conventions, I've never missed a single one!  Valley Chimney Sweep is always looking for new and innovative services and products to help make our customers' homes a safe and enjoyable place to live in.
